Obituary

Obituary for William F. Mires William F. Mires, age 84, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2013 at his home. He was born in 1928 to William K. and Naomi (Dunn) Mires in Ogden, UT. William was a member of the Marion Center First United Methodist Church, San Fernando 343 Blue Lodge, Indiana Masons Lodge?.., the Jaffa Shrine Club, Altoona, and the Clymer American Legion Post 232. He was a retired self-employed airline caterer. William was a Veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Marines. He lived in Los Angeles for 63 years before moving to Pennsylvania in 1993. William enjoyed fishing and gardening. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Elaine E. Mires, Clymer; a granddaughter Chelsea Rising and husband Brady, Blairsville, Brother-in laws Bruce, John and Gene Loar and two sisters, Mary Kalanavich and Norma Burk, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Dale D. Mires. Visitation will be on Monday from 6 to 8 PM at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Rev. Carl White officiating. Interment will be private. Memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 110 Main Street, Marion Center, PA 15759 or the Shriner's Hospital for Children, 1645 West 8th Street, Erie, PA 16505. www.bowserminich.com
