William A. Mintmier's Obituary

William A. Mintmier, age 71 of Indiana, died Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was a loving and devoted father, Pappy, and Great Pappy.

He was born in 1947 in Johnstown to William A. and Beulah Isabelle Krouse Mintmier.

While in the US Army and Army National Guard he served from the Vietnam War through the Global War of Terror. He served in Germany where he met and married his wife of 49 years, Kathryn Resch Mintmier.

Bill was a member of the Brush Valley Antique Iron and Power Club, the Fort Allen Antique Farm Equipment Assoc., the Associated Locksmiths of America. He was also a member of Christ Bible Fellowship Church, Indiana.

He was the founder and operator of Bill's Locksmith Service for 30 years. He loved the Indiana community and would help anyone in need.

He is survived by his wife Kathryn of Indiana; two daughters and one son, Eileen Stitt and husband Curtis, Lynchburg, VA; William A. Mintmier, Jr. and partner Kimberlee, Indiana; Jennifer Shoenfelt and husband David, Indiana; 11 grandchildren, Breeanna, Allison and husband Justin, Laura and husband John, Justin, Alayna, Jeremy, Jake, Evan, Joshua, Jaeleya, Bailey; one great grandson Cooper William; three brothers and two sisters, Merle Mintmier; Jim Mintmier; Maryan Miles; Kenneth Mintmier; and Cathy Bartley.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

At Bill's request there will be no public visitation or funeral service. Burial will be made in the Bethel Cemetery, Clyde.
