William Howard Lockhart, 96, of Smicksburg, passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023, at Crystal Waters Personal Care Home, in Home, PA. He was born in Smicksburg on September 1, 1927, to the late Howard and Alice (Schoenburger) Lockhart.

Bill was a farmer and worked as a driver for McNaughton Brothers Moving and Storage, retiring in 1987. Bill enjoyed traveling the world with his late wife, Barbara, woodworking, and especially spending time with his loving family. Bill could often be found attending his grandchildren's activities. He was a lifetime member of the Gilgal Presbyterian Church where he served as both an elder and a deacon. He was also a member of the Plumville Lions Club.

Bill is survived by his children, daughters Sharon (Steve) Dawson of Haymarket, VA, Debbie (Andy) Haggerty of Indiana, Judy (Tom) Hunter of Apollo Beach, FL, and son Bill (Norma) Lockhart of Smicksburg; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law Eleanor Lockhart and Jackie Lockhart both of Smicksburg, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife Barbara (Fulmer) Lockhart, and siblings Eloise, Bob, and Charlie Lockhart.

Friends will be received on Friday, December 1, 2023, from 4-6 PM at the Bowser- Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 11 AM at Gilgal Presbyterian Church, 638 Gilgal Rd, Marion Center, PA 15759, with Pastor Tim Monroe officiating.
