Willavene Reed's Obituary

Willavene (Spicher) Reed, age 92, passed away unexpectedly in Tampa, FL on Wednesday, September 16, 2015. Mrs. Reed was born in 1923 in Arcadia, PA, to Howard Ford and Sara (Pennington) Spicher. She lived most of her life in Indiana until 2005 when she and her predeceased and beloved husband Harry, moved to Florida to be closer to family. She graduated from Indiana High School and was a member of the Graystone Presbyterian Church for over fifty years. She is survived by twin sons - Howard (JoAnne) of Dunedin, FL and Harry (Kay) of Tarpon Springs, FL; five grandchildren - Kimberly Duncan, Bronson Reed, Caryn Atkins, Michelle Reed and David Reed; ten great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter. Willavene was preceded in death by her husband, Harry S. Reed who passed away on November 19, 2012, and her brother George Spicher, and sister Violet (Spicher)Lewis. Friends will be received at Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, on Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. and on Monday from 10-11 a.m. with the funeral service beginning at 11 a.m. with Reverend Rick Hurley officiating. Interment will be made in Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana.
