Obituary

Walter D. Gill, age 63, of Kittanning, formerly of Oil City and Indiana, passed away Saturday, November 23, 2013 at the home of his daughter. He was born in 1950 in Johnstown, to Walter W. and Elizabeth Rice Gill. He was employed by Penelec, (Edison Energy), for 30 years until his retirement in 2008. Walt enjoyed bowling, golf, playing cards, and spending time with family. His sense of humor and practical jokes will be remembered by his family and all who knew him. Walter is survived by three daughters and one son. Sarah K. Kelley, Los Angeles, CA; David T. Gill and wife Erin, Pittsburgh; Laura J. Rinaman and husband Craig, Kittanning; Emily E. Gill, Pittsburgh; four grandsons, Charlie Gill, Alex Gill, Bryce Rinaman, Jordan Rinaman; one sister, Meg Weil and husband Charles, Chicago, IL; two nephews, Michael and William Weil, Chicago, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, by and infant son Matthew Gill, and by a brother Richard Gill. Friends will be received on Friday from 6 to 8 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, 500 Ben Franklin Rd., S., Indiana, where a funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 A.M. Interment will be private.
