W. Parker Ruddock's Obituary

W. Parker Ruddock, age 82, of Naples, FL, formerly of Indiana, passed away Thursday, December 16, 2010 at the Naples Community Hospital.. He was born in 1928 in Indiana, to William McClave Ruddock, II, and Dorothy Parker. Judge Ruddock was a member of the Calvary Presbyterian Church. A veteran of the Korean War, he served in the US Army. Judge Ruddock received his Bachelor degree in Grove City College, his Juris Doctorate from the Pittsburgh University Law School. He began his law practice in Indiana in 1956 and was sworn in as Indiana County Judge of Common Pleas in 1983, serving 15 years, seven as President Judge. Judge Ruddock retired in 1998 and moved to Naples, Florida. Judge Ruddock also served as solicitor for Indiana Borough, served as Public Defender, and as a board member for S and T Bank. Judge Ruddock is survived by two sons and one daughter, Susan Ruddock Keith, Indiana; William M. Ruddock, Bradford; David P. Ruddock and wife Shelley, Indiana; six grandchildren, Matthew Keith, Christopher Keith, Michaela Ruddock, Parker Ruddock, McKenzie Ruddock, Connor Ruddock; one brother Donn Ruddock, VA. He was preceded in death by his parents, by his wife Peggy Ann Grafton Ruddock, and one sister Dorothea Ruddock. Friends will be received on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 A.M. at the Calvary Presbyterian Church, Indiana, with the Rev. David Hanna officiating. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Indiana Hospital Auxiliary, 835 Hospital Rd., Indiana, PA 15701.
