Virginia A. Holmes, age 90, of Indiana, passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Communities at Indian Haven.

She was born in 1925 in Graceton to Bert and Elizabeth George Clawson.

Mrs. Holmes was a member of the Calvary Evangelical Free Church, Indiana.

She was a resident of Armstrong Twp since 1966.

Virginia is survived by two sons - David B. Holmes and wife Christine, Ocala, FL; William B. Holmes, Indiana; two granddaughters - Amanda Holmes and Kimberly Holmes, both of FL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald Holmes in 1980, and her aunts and uncle who helped to raise her - John Clawson, Bertha and Vernie Clawson.

Friends will be received on Tuesday from 6 to 8 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 A.M. with the Rev. Gino Cosentino officiating. Interment will be made in the Oakland Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
