Obituary

Virginia S. Hollenbaugh, age 84, of Homer City, died Friday, September 20, 2013 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center. She was born in 1929 in Salem Twp., to Isaac and Anna Esther George Shuster, and spent her early years in and around the Delmont area. Mrs. Hollenbaugh was a member of the Brush Valley Chapel. She was a wife, mother, and grandmother, and had resided in Warren, OH for 30 years where she attended St. Paul's Lutheran Church. During her time in Warren, Mrs. Hollenbaugh was noted for her blood donation to the American Red Cross. Surviving is her husband of 65 years. A. Dale Hollenbaugh, Homer City; one daughter, Jeanne Mae Culligan and husband John, Spokane, WA; one grandson, Christopher "Adam" Dean Browne, Los Angeles, CA; one brother, Elmer George "Bud" Shuster, Homer City; one sister-in-law, Birgetta Shuster, Gathersburg, MD; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, by three sisters and three brothers, Mary Elizabeth Rupert, Anna Marie Duzyk, Mildred Surric, John, James, and Delmar Shuster. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where a funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 A.M. with the Rev. Robert White officiating. Entombment will be made in the Pine View Memorial Chapel, Warren, OH.
