Virginia Elkin Bracken's Obituary

Obituary for Virginia ELkin Bracken Virginia Elkin Bracken, 91, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at Crystal Waters Personal Care Home. She was born in 1920 to Clark A. and Cora (Green) Elkin in Indiana County. Virginia was a member of the Old Mahoning Baptist Church, She had an active roll in the church teaching Sunday school. She was a lifelong resident of Indiana County. She worked as a restaurant worker for the dairy treat in Indiana. She is survived by a daughter Joann Jeffries, Home; a sister Goldie Burton and husband Al, AZ; five grandchildren, Tanga Hopkins, Jamie Smith, Jeffrey Smith, Tuesday McConnaughey, Todd Monoskey, 12 great grandchildren and a great great grandchild. She is preceded by her parents, her first husband Lyle Wilson Kunkle, her second husband John Shearer Bracken, a daughter Linda Kay Kunkle, five brothers Ralph, Dale, Roy, Blair, Luther Elkin, two sisters Essie Tuff and Olive Hazlette. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. A visitation will also be held on Monday at the Old Mahoning Baptist Church from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM where funeral service will be held with pastor Micah McMillen officiating. Internment will be held in the Smicksburg Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Old Mahoning Baptist Church, 5525 Mahoning Road, Home, PA 15747
