Violet Mae Letso's Obituary

Violet Mae Letso, age 87, a resident of Indiana Co. her entire life, passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at Beacon Ridge Nursing Home. She was born in 1922 in Indiana Co., to Clyde and Mary Bowser Thompson. Mrs. Letso was a member of St's Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Catholic Church, Homer City, and FOE Ladies Auxiliary, #1468. Violet worked for 20 years as a waitress at McCrory's, Brown Hotel, Dairy Dell, and the Eagles Club. Violet is survived by four sons and one daughter, Andrew Letso, Jr. and wife Pam, Beaumont, CA; Matthew C. Letso and wife Marge, Smicksburg; John R. Letso, Hollidaysburg; Paul E.Letso, Hattisburg, MI; Susan L. Arroyo and husband Tony, Indiana; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband Andrew Letso, Sr. in 1968, by her son David P. Letso in 2007. Friends will be received on Friday from 6 to 9 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where a Panachida service will be held at 7 P.M. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 10 A.M. with the Rev. Fr. Matthew Conjelko officiating. Private interment will be made in the St. Bernard Cemetery.
