Obituary

Viola M. Smith, age 89 , of Indiana died Sunday, August 26, 2012 at Crystal Waters Personal Care Home, Home.. She was born in 1923 in Indiana to Maude Cox. Mrs. Smith was a member of the Tanoma United Methodist Church. Mrs. Smith was a homemaker, and was also employed by Murphy's Five and Dime, Musser's Forrest, Meadowbrook, and sold for Avon. She enjoyed cooking and spending her time with her grandchildren and family. Viola is survived by one son and, Michael J. and wife Linda, Indiana; nine grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband James A. "Buck" Smith in 1992, by two daughters Donna Marie Miller and Charlene Cochrane, by one son James A. Jr., by her grandson Eugene Cochrane, and by her sister Violet Brewer Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, with the Rev. Fred Catchpole officiating. Interment will be made in the Oakland Cemetery, Indiana.
