Victor Andrew Stelma, 90, of Indiana, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2026. He was born on September 3, 1935, in Graceton, to the late Victor M. and Mary (Kotzur) Stelma.
After graduating from Laura Lamar High School, Vic worked for Halliburton, retiring in 1993 as an assistant district manager. He was an active member of St. Bernard of Clairvaux Parish where he served as an usher, Eucharistic Minister, and a 4th degree Knights of Columbus. He was also active in the Catholic men’s bowling league. He enjoyed reading, gardening, traveling and making his own wine.
Surviving Vic are his children, Rose Mary Stelma of NC, Michele (Bill) Carey of NY, Barbara (Rob) Frasher of VA, and Vicki Stelma of Indiana, 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Victor was preceded in death by his wife Eleanor Josephine Stelma, a grandson David Frasher, brothers Michael, George, and Eugene Stelma, as well as a son-in-law Charles Manges.
Friends will be received on Thursday, April 30, 2026, in the Donahue Tylinski Funeral Home, Inc., (formerly Bowser Minich), from 4-7 PM. Additional visitation will be held in the Narthex of St. Bernard of Clairvaux on Friday, May 1, 2026, from 9:00 AM until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM with Father Richard N. Owens, OFM, Cap., as Celebrant. Entombment will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Food for the Poor via www.foodforthepoor.org, the Knights of Columbus council #1481, or to St. Bernard of Clairvaux Parish, 200 Clairvaux Drive, Indiana PA, 15701.
