Timothy J. Tyger's Obituary

Timothy J. Tyger, age 47, of Indiana, died Saturday, March 5, 2011 at his home after a long courageous fight with cancer. He was born in 1963 in Stoneham, MA to John Thomas and Mary Jo Boucher Tyger. Tim was a member of St. Bernard of Clairvaux R.C, Church, the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades, District Council 57, Local Union #409, where he served as local treasurer, LOOM #174, and the FOE #1468. He was a graduate of Indiana High School in 1981. He was employed as a union painter for various contractors in Western PA. Tim had a life-long passion for magic and entertained his family and friends on many occasions. He had a wonderful sense of humor and timing. Timothy is survived by one son Seth Tyger, Indiana; his mother of Indiana, three brothers and one sister, Thomas M. and wife Kathy, Indiana; Justine Adams and husband Steve, Irwin; James C. and wife Roxann, Indiana; Joseph S., Indiana; many dedicated aunts and uncles, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father John Thomas Tyger in 2001, by his grandparents, and by two nephews. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where a parish Vigil service will be held Tuesday at 3:45 P.M. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11 A.M. at St. Bernard of Clairvaux R.C. Church with the Rev. Fr. William Kiel the celebrant. Interment will be made in the St. Bernard Cemetery.
