Susie M. (Adams) Hile, 84, of Indiana, passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024, at The Communities at Indian Haven.

She was born on October 20, 1939, in Indiana to the late Merle John and Ruth (Putt) Adams.

A graduate of Marion Center High School, Susie was employed in the Groundskeeping Department of IUP, retiring in 2008.

After retirement, she could be found outside gardening or planting flowers. When indoors, she enjoyed cooking and baking, always referring to her shelf filled with her cookbooks.

Surviving is her son Raymond Hile and wife Tammy of Indiana; stepchildren Thomas Hile and wife Christine of MO, and Sue Stewart of Ligonier; grandsons Eric and wife Lexee, Brian and wife Sarah, and Adam; granddaughter Scarlett; and sisters Nancy Willover and Blanche Hockenberry and niece Judy Huey.

In addition to her parents Susie was preceded in death by her husband Charles in 2009, granddaughter Tia Marie, siblings Watson Adams, Martha Truitt, Merritt Adams, Albert Adams, Franklin Adams, Ida Adams, and Dale Adams.

Friends will be received by the family on Monday, April 8, 2024, from 6 - 8 PM and on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, from 10 AM until the time of the service at 11 AM in the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, 500 Ben Franklin Road South, Indiana, PA 15701. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital.
