Steve Rohacek's Obituary

Steve Rohacek, 86, of Indiana, passed away on Thursday March 19, 2015 at Scenery Hill Manor. He was born in 1928 to Andrew and Elizabeth (Bielcik) Rohacheck in Ernest. Steve was Lutheran by faith and a retired tool grinder for Caterpillar. Steve enjoyed spending time in the outdoors hiking, hunting and fishing. He was a WWII veteran, serving in the United States Army in the European Occupation Forces. He is survived by three sisters and a brother - Marie R. Campbell, Penn Run; Anna Bash, Indiana; Andrew Rohacek, Ohio; Elizabeth Rohacheck, Indiana, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters - Ludmila Rumanova, Helen Ekis, and a brother - Michael Rohacheck. Steve lost his wife of 55 years, Margaret (Dutsar) Rohacek, on June 23, 2008 in Bozman, MT. She was the daughter of John and Anna (Vaselinko) Dutsar, and born in Heilwoood in 1925. Margaret is survived by several nieces and nephews. She will be interred with her husband. The family would like to thank everyone at Scenery Hill Manor for the wonderful care given to Steve Visitation will be on Sunday from 3-6 p.m. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Military honors will be performed by the Indiana VFW Post 1989 at the funeral home.
