Silvio I. Corte, age 88 of Indiana, died Sunday, October 15, 2017, at the Indiana Regional Medical Center.

He was born in 1929 in Sovremonte, Italy to Albert DallaCorte and Josephine Giop DallaCorte. ,He immigrated to America at the age of 2 along with his parents.

Silvio was a member of St. Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church, BPOE Lodge, FOEagles, VFW Post #1989; Indiana Armstrong Builders Assoc., Dealer Supply Co., and the Nowrytown Sportsman Club.

A veteran of the Korean War, he served in the US Army as a Corporal.

He began his career as a mason in 1956 after returning home from the war. ,Because of health problems, he founded and operated Corte Masonry Supply in Indiana in 1965 and expanded the business to its present location in 1981.

Silvio enjoyed collecting and driving antique cars (Model T's and Studebakers), dancing to polkas, spending time at Mollica's hunting camping on Rockton Mountain, and having fun with family and friends.

He is survived by one son and one daughter - Mark Corte and wife Angela, Indiana; Marcia Belice and husband Michael, Indiana; two grandchildren - Alexi and Vince Belice; one brother - Albert Corte and wife Louise, Indiana; one sister - Mary Yankivch and husband Ivan, Indiana; numerous nieces and cousins.

Silvio was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends will be received on Thursday from 3-5 and 7-9 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10 A.M. at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Church. Entombment will be made in St. Bernard Mausoleum with military service rites provided by Indiana VFW Post 1989.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Four Footed Friends, 220 Beck Road, Indiana, PA 15701, or to Volunteer Fire Co. of the donor's choice.
