Obituary

Silas "Eugene" Harbrige, age 77, of Marion Center, died Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Beacon Ridge Nursing Home. He was born in 1935 in White Twp., to Silas Glenn and Thelma O. Newcome Harbrige. Eugene was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Marion Center. He was a self-employed farmer for his entire life until retirement in 1993. Eugene is survived by his brother, George W. "Cy" Harbrige and wife Jean, Marion Center, by one niece and one nephew, Beverly Blose and husband Carl, Home; Barry Harbrige, Marion Center; one great niece and one great nephew, Debbie Edwards and husband Fred, Marion Center; Barry Blose, Marion Center; one great great nephew, Aiden Edwards, Marion Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by two infant sisters. Friends will be received on Monday from 1 to 3 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where a funeral service will be held Tuesday at 1:30 P.M. with the Rev. R. Bruce Shannon officiating. Private interment will be made in the Marion Center Memorial Cemetery.
