Sidney D. Ramsell's Obituary

Sidney D. Ramsell, age 81, of Lucernemines, passed away on November 13, 2014 at his residence. He was born in 1933 in Kent, to Sidney D. and Mary E. Brown Ramsell. Sidney was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, Homer City. A veteran of the Korean War, he served in the US Army. He was employed by the R & P Coal Co. as a coal miner until his retirement. Sidney enjoyed watching various sports activities. Sidney is survived by two sons - John D. Ramsell and fiance Paula Rhoades, Homer City; W. Michael Sinick, Carlisle; three grandsons - Jesse Ramsell, Indiana; Justin Ramsell, Indiana; Dillon Sinick, Carlisle; and two siblings - Donald Ramsell and wife Barbara, Homer City; Patty Zerfoss and husband Jack, Clarksburg. He was preceded in death by his parents, by his wife Edith Mae Ramsell in 1998, and by the following siblings - Emily Vasbinder, Janet Spence, and Rita Jean Berkey. Funeral services will be private and have been entrusted to the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana.
