Shirlee Shiner

Shirlee (Kinsinger) Shiner, 88, of Indiana, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 15, 2026.

She was born on September 19, 1938, in Somerset to the late Roy and Emily (Baker) Kinsinger. Shirlee worked for at time at Season-All Industries and Thermal-Gard, then working until the age of 83 as a secretary and receptionist for Holsinger, Clark and Armstrong, Attorneys at Law, retiring in 2022.

Shirlee was a parishioner of the Church of the Resurrection, Ernest.  She enjoyed cross word puzzles, gambling, watching the Hallmark and Game Show Channels, as well as and the Steelers and Pirates games.

Surviving Shirlee are her children, Cindy (Mitch) Shoemaker and Rhonda (Tony) Stefanik, grandchildren Michael (Brittany) Haldin, Brian Haldin, Shelby (Dustin) Elswick, and Tyler (Hannah) Stefanik, great-grandchildren Ellie, Violet, Niko, Lily, and Cali, as well as a sister Lois Kimmel.

In addition to her parents, Shirlee was preceded in death by her husband Henry F. Shiner, and two brothers.

Friends and family are welcomed on Monday October 19, 2026, from 10AM until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in the Church of the Resurrection (Ernest Site), with Father James Watson, OFM, Cap., as Celebrant.

Shirlee’s family would like to extend a very special thank you to the employees and staff of the Addison of Morehead Place, 365 Hospice, and her longtime friend Brian Colgan.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Shirlee to either 365 Hospice or Four-Footed Friends.
