Sandra M. Pelky's Obituary

Sandra M. Pelky, age 63, of Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at her home. She was born in 1951 in Indiana to Raymond and Eleanor McCormick Syphers. Mrs. Pelky was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Indiana; and a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post #6555, Sagamore. Sandy enjoyed bowling with a womens league at Greendale Bowling Lanes, and was involved with a Dart league at the VFW. She enjoyed shopping, crafts, crocheting, cross stiching, western movies, baking, cooking, camping, and traveling. She was employed at SeasonALL Industries, and several jobs in Harrisburg where she lived for many years. Sandra is survived by one sister - Carol L. McCoy and husband Richard, Shelocta; two nieces - Sherry McCoy, Melissia McCoy, both of Shelocta; one step-son - E. Joseph Pelky and wife Jacqueline and children, Utah; one sister-in-law - Teresa Rossi, Strattonville; and by a close friend - Deb Zani and husband Michael, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband Earl J. Pelky in 1998, and by several brothers and sisters-in-law. Friends will be received on Saturday from 3 to 7 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where a funeral service will begin at 7 P.M. with Dr. Derrick Hatfield officiating. Private interment will be made in the North Point Cemetery.
