Obituary

S. Jeannette "Jan", (Mikesell) Fulmer, age 80, passed away Friday, August 19, 2011 at her home. She was born 1931 in Blacklick Twp., to Thomas H. Mikesell, Sr., and Fae McQuown Mikesell. She was a member of the Calvary Presbyterian Church, where she was an Elder, Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, and volunteered in the Church office. She also helped with Mother's Morning Out, Prayers and Squares, and bereavement committees. Additionally she was a Girl Scout and 4-H Leader. Jan was employed for the First Federal Bank, (now Indiana First Bank) for 23 years, starting as a teller and ending as assistant to the President. She enjoyed woodcarving, quitting, crosstitching, traveling, reading, and word puzzles. Jan is survived by her husband Donald E. Fulmer, Indiana, whom she married July 15, 1950; two daughters and one son, Pamela L. Smith, Blairsville; David W. and wife Kimberly, marion Center; Annette Pollock and husband Robert, Indiana; seven grandchildren, Michael Smith and wife Staci, Brian Smith and fiancee Kristy Bickhart, Shea Fulmer and wife Tami, Jennifer Reaugh and husband Scott, Cory Fulmer and wife Laura, Matthew and Tyler Pollock; seven great grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters, Thomas H. Mikesell and wife Marge, Blairsville; Charles B. Mikesell and wife Marty, Indiana; Robert E. Mikesell and wife Marlene, Marion Center; Nathalia "Shalie" Bell and husband Jack, Manchester Center, VT; Kathleen M. Stutzman and husband James, Armagh. She was preceded in death by her parents, and by her son-in-law Richard Smith in 2006. Friends will be received on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. A funeral service will be held Monday at 11 A.M. at the Calvary Presbyterian Church, Indiana, with the Rev. David Hanna officiating. Entombment will be made in the Oakland Cemetery Mausoleum.
