Ruth G. Marshall's Obituary

Ruth G. Marshall, age 85, of Smicksburg, died Friday, September 24, 2010 at Amrstrong Co. Memorial Hospital. She was born in 1924 in S. Mahoning Twp. to Duff and Leona McGaughey Raraigh. Mrs. Marshall was an active member of the Presbyterian Church of Plumville where she served as a Sunday School Teacher, Deacon, Elder, and Custodian. She enjoyed quilting, college basketball, and all sports. Ruth is survived by her husband of 61 years, Clark T. "Tom" Marshall, Smicksburg; two sons and one daughter, Randy and wife Shirley, Smicksburg; Daniel and wife Patricia, Pen Argyl; Lori Hillard and husband Mark, Aylett, VA; six grandchildren, Daniel, Scott, and Eric Marshall, Tina Mulitsch, Natalie and Nicole Hillard; four great grandchildren, Emily, Alan and Lance Mulitsch, Alexa English; two brothers and one sister, Dalton Raraigh, Dayton; Kenneth Raraigh and wife Bonnie, Dayton; Bernice Stull, Frankfort, OH, (formerly of Elderton). She was preceded in death by her parents, by her sister-in-law Dorothy Raraigh, and by her brother-in-law Kenneth Stull. Friends will be received on Sunday from 7 to 9 P.M. and on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11 A.M. at the Presbyterian Church, Plumville, with the Rev. Mark Gaskill and the Rev. Kathryn Ward-Stear officiating. Interment will be made in the Smicksburg Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Presbyterian Church of Plumville, PO Box 422, Plumville, PA 16246.
