Ruth Marie Deabenderfer's Obituary

Ruth Marie Deabenderfer, age 89, of Indiana, passed away Monday, November 17, 2014 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center. She was born in 1925 in Rayne Twp. to Clarence M. Byers, Sr., and Dorothy V. Cunningham Ruffner. Ruth was a member of the Graystone Presbyterian Church, the Appalachian Wagon Train, the Ohio Wagon Train, the Bend of the River Wagon Train, and the Indiana County Trail Riders. Mrs. Deabenderfer was a homemaker and along with her husband operated the family farm in White Twp. where they raised beef cattle and horses. She is survived by two sons and one daughter, William M. and wife Barbara, Lawton, OK; Charles N. and wife MaryAnn, Sarasota, FL; Carol Ann Bevlin and husband Ronald, Indiana; 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; one brother and two sisters, Clair L. Ruffner and wife Donna, Indiana; Donna Jean Reefer and husband Dr. Ronald C., Shelocta; Shirley Lee Shearer and husband Ronald, Indiana; and many nieces and nephews. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, by an infant son, by her husband Cameron M. Deabenderfer in 2009, by her sister Helen L. Williams, her brother Floyd N. Ruffner, Sr., and by four infant siblings. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 4 to 8 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where a funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 A.M. with the Rev. Richard E. Hurley officiating. Private interment will be made in the Oakland Cemetery.
