Rose Mary Trotta McCavitt - Mother / Teacher

Rose was the third of four children born to Vincent and Josephine Trotta of Mount Union, PA. She was born on January 31, 1930.

Rose is survived by her sons, Brian and wife Catherine of White Salmon, WA, Dean and wife Angela of Loveland, OH, and grandchildren Isaac and Julia McCavitt of Loveland, OH

She was preceded in death by her siblings: Mary Magliere, Anna Thompson, and Vincent Trotta.

Rose was a graduate of Juniata College (B.S. in Elementary Education), and Indiana University of Pennsylvania (M.Ed in Elementary Education). She taught for 38 years in public schools of New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Most of those years were spent at Rayne Elementary School in Marion Center, PA.

In her free time, Rose enjoyed travelling, hitting the slots, and visiting with friends and relatives. She loved to hear and share the latest family news with others.

Later in life, she took up coloring. Her room was always adorned with recent creations.

A private funeral service was held for members of the immediate family at the Bowser-Minich funeral home in Indiana, PA.
