October 30, 1942 – September 16, 2024
Ronald S. Toldi, 81, of Clarksburg, passed away on Monday, September 16, 2024. Born in Iselin on October 31, 1942, to the late Steven and Pauline (Horalek) Toldi, he was a 1960 graduate of Elders Ridge High School. After graduation Ron joined the United States Army during the Vietnam War, serving in Korea.
Ron was a faithful member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Kent, the CY Sportsman's Club, the Saltsburg American Legion, and a member of the Saltsburg Honor Guard.
Ron was always a super positive, happy man. He lived his life to the fullest. When asked how he was doing, his well-known unique response was "I'm super fantastic today!" Ron was a man with a plan. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening and playing the PA Lotto every day, but most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter Sophie.
Surviving Ron is his wife Janet R. (Arduini), whom he married on January 16, 1965, his sons Kevin M. Toldi of Clarksburg and Gregory S. Toldi of Jacksonville, FL, granddaughter Sophia, step-grandsons Alex and Andrew Hart, brothers Gerald (Donna) Toldi, of Shelocta, and Thomas (Maria) Toldi of Palm Springs, CA.
In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by a son Mark Raymond Toldi in 1967.
Friends will be received by the family on Thursday, September 19, 2024, from 4-7 PM at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 20, 2024, at 11AM in the Church of the Good Shepherd, Kent, with Father Segundo Laude as Celebrant. Burial with military honors will follow in Iselin Union Cemetery, Clarksburg.
In lieu of flowers, Ron's family suggests donations be made in his memory to the American Heart Association via www.heart.org, or to Four Footed Friends at www.fourfootedfriends.org.
