Obituary

Ronald A. Strong Jr., 31, of New Smyrna Beach Florida, passed away unexpectedly at Bert Fish Medical Center near his home on Friday March 16, 2012. He was born in 1981 in Indiana, to Linda M. (Garner) Strong and Ronald A. Strong Sr. He was a member of the Plum Creek Presbyterian Church, Willet, and also attended Center Presbyterian Church in Creekside. Ron was a 1999 graduate of Marion Center High School and Indiana County Vo-tech in carpentry. He later graduated from Daytona Beach State College, Florida, in 2009, where he received his degree as a Registered Nurse. He was currently employed as an RN at the Terrace Nursing Home in Daytona Beach. Ron especially enjoyed spending time with his children and was an avid sports fan especially the Pittsburgh Steelers. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding his motor cycle, and going to the beach and collecting sea shells with his children. He is survived by his mother Linda M. (Garner) Strong, Atwood; his father Ronald A. Strong, Sr. and stepmother (Sheri), Port Orange, FL; three children, Allyson, Aiden Strong, mother, Holly Woodard Edgewood, FL; Natalie Strong, mother Megan Kern, Palm Coast, FL; a brother Roger A. Strong, Shelocta; Maternal grandparents Ruth and Eugene Garner, James Creek; also a number of Uncles, Aunts, Nieces and Cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Clarence and Verla Strong. Visitation will be on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM at Center Presbyterian Church, Creekside with Rev. Mark Gaskill officiating. Graveside services will be held in Iselin Union Cemetery.
