Robert "Gene" McCroskey, Jr. ,62, of Homer City, passed away at his residence on Friday, April 5, 2024.
Son of the late Robert G. and Doris (Fisher) McCroskey, he was the husband of Brenda (Henry) McCroskey.
Gene was employed as a transmission technician at Cleveland Brothers for over 20 years.
He was an active member of Hilltop Baptist Church, serving as a deacon. In his free time, he enjoyed boating and fishing, playing his guitar, and above all others, time with his family. Gene was also a member of the Two Lick Lake Recreation Association.
He is survived by his wife, his two children, Tim (Jenn) McCroskey of Homer City and Jenni (Craig) Bortner of Tucson, AZ, grandchildren Dylan McCroskey and Simeon Bortner, and stepmother Anna Mae McCroskey.
In addition to his parents, Gene was preceded in death by his sister Debra Kintz and brother Ronald McCroskey.
Family and friends will be received from 4 - 7 PM on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, 500 Ben Franklin Road South, Indiana, PA, where additional visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, from 10 AM until the time of service at 11 AM with Pastor Jack Lucas officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor and memory of Gene to the Hilltop Baptist Church, either online at myhilltop.org/online-giving, or by mail at 4859 PA-286, Indiana, PA 15701.
