Robert Neal Hoover, age 79, of Indiana, died Monday, October 1, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born in 1939 in Indiana, to Zenas H. and Winifred Neal Hoover.

Robert served in the US Army National Guard.

He was employed by the US Postal Service in Indiana for 35 years as a letter carrier.

Bob was an ordained minister, a lifetime member of the Gold Prospectors Assoc. of America, and a Boy Scout Leader.

He enjoyed gardening, bible reading, and walking his girls "Scarlett and Apricot."

Bob is survived by his wife Shirley Griffith Hoover, Indiana; two daughters and two sons - Deborah Slater and husband Bert, Indiana; Barbara J. Lynch and David Peace, Clymer; Robert A. Hoover and wife Cheri, Reading; Gerald E. Hoover, Indiana; six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren ; one brother Richard G. Hoover and wife Ann, Penn Run; one sister Betty Knappenberger and husband Neal, Las Vegas, NV.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and by his great granddaughter Hailee Lynch.

Visitation and funeral service will be private at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. Burial will made in the Oakland Cemetery.
