Obituary

Robert Eugene Gardner, 79, of Penn Run died Wednesday, April 25, 2012. He was born on August 2, 1932 in Coral, PA and was a son of the late Sanford and Anne Gardner. He retired from RandP Coal Company and Ohio Corrugating. He was a member of Red Barn Sportsman Club and Coral Grayston Sportsman Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He is survived by his wife, Carol Lee Gardner,; four sons, Robert Gardner of Shelocta; Daniel Gardner of Penn Run; Terrance Gardner, of Mechanicsville, VA; Ronald Gardner of Bristolville, Ohio; 2 sisters and 1 brother; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Lynn; an infant son and 3 brothers and 1 sister. Family and friends will be received from 12:00 - 2:00 PM on Saturday at the Bowser-Minich, Funeral Home, Indiana. A funeral service will take place at 2:00 PM from the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Maple Grove Church of God, 1558 Laurel Run Road, Penn Run, PA 15765.
