Richard Lundberg's Obituary

Richard R. "Dick" Lundberg, 70, of Brush Valley Township, passed away on Friday, August 21, 2015 at his home. He was born in Nanty Glo in May, 1945, to Ramona Faye (Yingling) Craig and Charles Lundberg. Dick was a retired coal miner, past board member of the UMWA District 2, past organizer of the UMWA International Union, member of the Laborer's International Union and past board member of REA. He was a member of the Nanty Glo VFW Post 15040, American Legion Post 0128, Bolivar, Heath Twp, Sportsmen's Club, Blue Goose Sportsmen's Club, Marienville Rod and Gun Club, and the East Fork Sportsmen's Inc. Dick enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, fishing and hunting, going to his two camps, riding his four-wheeler, and taking care of his animals. He was a decorated veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the United States Army. He is survived by his wife of 31 years - Patricia E. Lundberg, Brush Valley; three sons and a daughter - Stacie M. Frederick and husband Tim, Twin Rocks; Richard C. Lundberg, Nanty Glo; John R. Lundberg and fiancee Emma, Indiana; B. Alex Boughamer and Andrea, Moscow, ID; four grandchildren - Jensen, Jaycie, Cody, and Logan; a sister - Dawn "Penny" Lundberg and Penny, Nanty Glo; aunts and uncles - Robert "Dink" Yingling, and Louise, Linda Miller, John "Jack" Yingling, and Ann; special nephews - Bob and Joe Yingling; good friend - Paul Shetler, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents; grandparents - Lawrence and Emma (Lee) Yingling; aunts and uncles - Audrey Szwed, Charles "Babe" Yingling, Lawrence Yingling, James "Bo" Yingling, and Deb Henry. Visitation will be on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana, with Military Honors provided by the Indiana VFW Post 1989. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice
