Richard E. Colish, age 58, of Indiana, formerly of Elyria, OH, died Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at the Communities of Indian Haven. He was born April 10, 1951 in Indiana to Peter and Dorothy Ferringer Colish. Rick was a former member of the Church of the Resurrection, Ernest site. A veteran of the Viet Nam Conflict, he served in the US Air Force. He was resident of Elyria, OH for 25 years he was employed by Parker Hannifin Corp. Rick returned to Indiana in 2008. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and other outdoor activities. Surviving are four sisters, Norma Jean Pluchinsky and husband Bernard, Elyria, OH; Dee Wingrove and husband Harry, Indiana; Marjorie Williams and husband James, Indiana; Bonnie Houck and husband Shawn, Indiana; his sister-in-law Rose Ann Colish, Erie; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, by his brother William Colish in 2007. Friends will be received on Monday, April 5, from 1 to 3 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where a memorial service will begin at 3 P.M. with the Rev. Fr. Timothy officiating. Military services will be provided by the VFW Post #1989 at the funeral home. Private interment will be made in the Oakland Cemetery.
