Richard N. Clark, age 79 of Ernest, died Sunday, November 27, 2016 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center .

He was born in 1936 in Sykesville to William M. and Anna Polifko Clark.

He was self-employed as a truck driver. He established the Junior Legion Baseball Team in Ernest in 1973. Additionally he served on the Ernest Boro Council and the Marion Center Area School Board.

He enjoyed golfing and bowling, and watching many sports on TV.

He is survived by his wife Marlene Burkett Clark, Ernest, two sons, Richard N., Jr. and wife Carla, Floral City, FL; Forrest "Boone" and wife Shari, Indiana; one daughter, Jamie Edwards, Ernest; eight grandchildren, Cory Campbell, Jennifer DeFoor, Richard Clark, III, Tarah Hadden, Thomas Askew, Sydney Edwards, Chelsea Clark, Forrest Clark, Jr.; five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Roberta Askew, a granddaughter Cassandra Clark, and by the following siblings, Gordan, Leroy, William, Bert, and Mabel Clark.

Friends will be received on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where a funeral service will be held Friday at 11 A.M. with Pastor John Sykes officiating. Interment will be made in the Marion Center Memorial Cemetery .
