Obituary

Ray "Doug" Pollock, 56, of Indiana passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at his home. He was born in 1956 to Ray G. Pollock and Letitia (Hunter) Pollock in Bucks County. Doug was a member of the UMWA. He was a coal miner for 19 years for Tunnelton Coal Co. and also worked for First Commonwealth Bank as a courier. Doug enjoyed playing and watching sports, hunting, fishing, playing basketball, football, wiffleball, kickball and softball with his daughters and all of the neighborhood children. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, son, brother and neighbor. He is survived by his mother, Letitia Pollock, Sarver; a girlfriend Tari Frain, Indiana; three daughters and a son, Stacy Fancella, Homer City; Anita Ranochock and husband Joe, Indiana; Trisha Helman and husband Andy, Indiana; Ray D. Pollock Jr., Indiana; three grandchildren, Anthony, Ashly and Juliella; three sisters, CoraLee Falcon and husband David, Lower Burrell Clovia Payne and husband John, Sarver; Crystal McCalmont and husband Cliff, Cheswick; and numerous nieces nephews and cousins, and dear friend Kenneth Cucknell. He is preceded in death by his father, a brother Vernon Pollock, two nephews Brian Stevens and Nicholas Pollock. Visitation will be on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana; a funeral service will be on Saturday at 10:00 AM from the funeral home. Burial will be private.
