Randall C. Green's Obituary

Randall C. Green, age 51, of Indiana, died suddenly of an aneurism on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center. He was born in 1959 in Houston TX, to Robert C. and Kathleen Simmons Green. Randy was an active member of St. Bernard of Clairvaux R.C. Church, Indiana. He was a graduate of Penns Manor High School in 1978, where he was a proud member of the football team. In 1996 he graduated with a degree in Respiratory Therapy from IUP. He was employed by Select Specialty in Latrobe Hospital. Randy took a personal interest in the welfare of each and every patient he cared for. For him, it was more than a job, but a calling by God. He was a devoted and loving father, husband, brother, and uncle. He was a constant source of encouragement to all who surrounded him. He was willing to help anyone at any time, with his sunny disposition and positive outlook. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, camping, and fishing. He loved spending time with his family and his dog Penny. Randy was affectionately known as "Ray-Ray" by his three special nieces. Randy is survived by his wife Kristin Lefko Green, Indiana, whom he married October 17, 2003; two sons, Shawn C., and Bradley A., both of Indiana; one brother Robert W. and wife Paula, Brackenridge; one nephew Chad and wife Jessica and son Noah, Indiana; one uncle Dale W. Green and wife Bernetta, Irwin; his father and mother-in-law, Paul and Shirel Lefko, Indiana; two sisters-in-law, Suzanne Burkhart and husband Greg and daughters Olivia, Isabella, and Quinn, Indiana; Tricia Lefko, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by one sister Dyanne. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2 to 4 andf 6 to 8 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 A.M. at St. Bernard of Clairvaux R.C. Church, Indiana, with the Rev. Fr. William Kiel and the Rev. Fr. George I. Jakopac the celebrants. Interment will be made in the Cemetery.
