Obituary

Pete Harvey, age 89, of Indiana, died Monday, January 23, 2012 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center. He was born in 1922 in Clune to Charles and Anna(Kuzma)Harvey. Mr. Harvey was a member of St. Bernard of Clairvaux R.C. Church, Indiana, and the UMWA. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. A veteran of WW II, he served in the US Navy. Pete was employed as a coal miner with R and P Coal Co. until his retirement. Pete is survived by two daughters and one son, Linda Dickie and husband Gary, Indiana; Cynthia Mahnke and husband Timo, Italy; Peter R. and wife Tammy, Indiana; five grandchildren, Louis, Niko, Matteo, Heather, and Megan; three sisters, Sophie Magalich, Indiana; Alice Prato, Homer City; Mary Wisniewski, MD; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, by his wife Elizabeth M. Harvey in 1998, by three brothers and one sister. John, Metro, Mike Harvey, and Helen Urchek. Friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where a parish Vigil service will be held at 3:45 P.M. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 11 A.M. with the Rev. Fr. William Kiel the celebrant. Interment will be made in the St. Bernard Cemetery, Indiana. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the donors choice.
