Obituary

Peggy Jane Fulton, 88, of Indiana, passed away July 7, 2014 at home with her family by her side. She was born in 1926 to David and Esther (Wilhelm) Campbell in Indiana. Peggy attended John A. H. Keith School on what is now the IUP campus from kindergarten through tenth grade. She graduated from Indiana High School, Class of 1944. She attended Indiana Hospital School of Nursing as a student of the United States Army Cadet Nurse's training program graduating in 1947. She began working immediately after graduation at the Indiana Hospital. She retired from the Indiana Hospital as a surgical nurse in 1991, having worked there for 44 years. After her retirement she worked at Keys Montessori Pre-school. She was a member of Graystone Presbyterian Church, Indiana Hospital Alumni Association, volunteered at the Alice Paul House, American Lung Association, National Immune Deficiency Foundation, and the Salvation Army, Indiana. Peggy was the "Queen Mother" of her Red Hat Society, (Purple Babes in Red Hats) of Indiana. She enjoyed quilting, knitting and basket weaving. She is survived by a son, Gary Fulton and wife Lin, Indiana; a daughter, Judith Lunchuck and husband Michael, Indiana; four grandchildren - Stephanie Fulton, Melinda "Mimi" Fulton, Corey Lunchuck and Brianna "Bri" Lunchuck, two great grandchildren - Nicholas "Niko" Schuller-Sharbaugh and Keegan Fulton-Schuller; a brother, David Campbell, Indiana; many nieces and nephews; her adopted family, Jonathan and Kathleen Mack and their children Connor and Katie,and special friends - Judy and Jim Ashbaugh; Denise and Ernie Draganza. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband - Ronald Eugene Fulton in 1981, a grandson - Timothy Lunchuck in 1997, a brother - Jack Campbell, and her aunt and uncle - John Raymond and Retha Dalton, with whom she made her home from the age of ten. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 7-9 PM at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, with additional visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM Thursday at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. Burial will take place in the Greenwood Cemetery.
