Obituary

Paul E. Airgood, 100, of Indiana, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Scenery Hill Manor. He was born in 1911 to Samuel M. and Mary Elizabeth (McCracken) in Jacksonville, Indiana County. Paul was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church of Homer City, He was a retired coal miner and worked at Patterson's Nursery. Paul enjoyed visiting with friends and family and he also enjoyed mowing his yard. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Blystone Airgood, Indiana, whom he married November 7, 1934. two daughters, Betty Lydick, Indiana; and Shirley Patterson, Indiana; four grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren, and a special friend Ron Newhouse. Paul was the last surviving member of the Airgood family. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Clair Airgood and his favorite dog Mitzy. Visitation will be on Monday from 7-9 PM and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Pastors R.A. Wallace and Tim Cotton officiating. Graveside services will be held at Oakland Cemetery.
