Obituary

Norma Jean "Spark" Lee Campbell, age 81, of Indiana, formerly of Smicksburg, died Wednesday, January 4, 2012 in Plumville at the home of her daughter, surrounded by her family. She was born in 1930 in Plumville, to Norman C. and Effie A. Lytle Van Horn. Mrs. Campbell was a homemaker, mother and grandmother. Retired from FMC in Homer City she spent her time with her beloved cat Cotton, quilting, reading, listening to country music, and shopping yard sales. She was also a former resident of Center Twp. She enjoyed quilting, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren. Spark is survived by three daughters and two sons, Sherry Kammerdiener, Indiana; Cindy Capone and husband Anthony, Homer City; Sandy Lorenzo and husband Francis, Plumville; Jim Lee and wife Norma, Blacklick; Barry Lee and wife Susan, Blairsville. She was very proud of her 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, that included three sets of twins. She is also survived by two sisters, Virginia Talley, Indiana; Geraldine Frye and husband Bill, Marion Center; and many loved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, by two brothers and two sisters, Glenn Van Horn, Lavona "Onie" Brooks, and an infant brother and sister. Friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where a funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 A.M. with the Rev. Kathryn Ward Stear officiating. Interment will be made in the Gilgal Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice, 850 Hospital Rd., Suite 300, Indiana, PA 15701.
