Nancy G. Steffy

Nancy G. Steffy, 75, of Indiana, passed away Monday, August 24, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Born April 11, 1951, in Indiana, she was the daughter of William K. and Anna K. (Walker) Wassam.

Nancy was a graduate of Indiana Area High School, class of 1969. In addition to raising her family, she worked for PennDot as a payroll specialist until her retirement in , and was a faithful member of Grace Church.

She enjoyed trips to Disney World, quilting, sewing, reading, baking, doing puzzle books, and watching Hallmark movies.

Nancy is survived by her children, Beth (Kevin) Van Asdalan of Pittsburgh, Lauri (Doug) Fletcher of Indiana, and Ken (Tina) Steffy of Pittsburgh; and two granddaughters, Kathryn Steffy and Astoria Fletcher.

Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband, Alan Steffy in 1987, and her brother, Fred Wassam.

Family and friends will be received Friday, August 28, 2026, from 4 – 7 pm, in the Donahue-Tylinski Funeral Home, Inc., 500 Ben Franklin Road S, Indiana (formerly Bowser Minich). Additional viewing will be held Saturday, from 10 am until the time of service at 11 am, in the funeral home with The Rev. Arlene Schweitzer officiating. Private interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Nancy’s honor be made to the Indiana Free Library at www.indianafreelibrary.org or to the American Cancer Society at American Cancer Society.
