Obituary

Nancy Jane (Rineer) Doughty, 92, of Indiana, formerly of Berwyn, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, May 17, 2026 — just hours before the one-year anniversary of her beloved husband Wesley’s passing. A love story that spanned 76 years was reunited in Heaven.

Born in Coatesville, Pennsylvania, Nancy was the daughter of the late John and Bertha (Kreiser) Rineer. She spent her career serving others as a secretary for Conestoga High School and Eastern College.

Nancy lived a beautiful life rooted in faith, family, hospitality, and joy. She was a longtime member of Paoli Presbyterian where she faithfully served as a Sunday school teacher and led a women’s circle group. Her faith quietly shaped the way she cared for people — always showing up with compassion, encouragement, and a servant’s heart.

Nancy never missed the important moments in the lives of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Whether it was concerts, sporting events, recitals, school programs, birthdays, holidays, or ordinary afternoons together, she made everyone she loved feel celebrated. She had a gift for turning simple moments into treasured traditions and creating memories her family will carry forever.

Nancy loved to travel and visited more than 23 countries throughout her life, always finding wonder and beauty wherever she went. She especially cherished annual three-week family vacations to Ocean City, where generations gathered together year after year. She loved sewing, cooking, hosting large family meals, setting a beautiful table, and making every gathering feel special.

Surviving Nancy are her daughter, Donna (Michael) Davis-Westwood of Parkesburg, PA; granddaughter Amanda (Justin) Kaskan of Indiana; grandson Greg (Haley) Davis of Phoenixville, PA; granddaughter Brittany (Christian) Ray of Midlothian, VA; granddaughter Julie McNeil of Wyomissing, PA; and great-grandchildren Wyatt and Charlotte Kaskan, Marshall and Thomas Davis, and Emma and Allison Ray.

Besides her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley O. Doughty, on May 18, 2025; her daughter, Diane Doughty; her twin sister Natalie; sisters Evelyn and Betty Lou; and her brother Johnny Rineer.
