Obituary

Miriam Hill Ross, 97 of Marion Center, Passed away Monday, December 31, 2012 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center. She was born in 1915 to David R. and Dovie (Neal) Hill in S. Mahoning Twp., Indiana County. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Marion Center. Miriam was a member of the P.S.E.A., the N.E.A., Delta Kappa Gamma, select and the Women's Teachers Association. She graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and retired as a business teacher from Marion Center High School in 1977. She is survived by two sons, Philip R. Ross and wife Elaine, Lonoke, Arkansas; Randolph D. Ross, Indiana; two daughters Jean Elliott Tucker and husband Frank, North Versailles; Darlene Bloom Delano and husband Oscar, Bowie MD; Seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, two brothers, Harold and David Hill, two sisters, Vida Holt and Connie McCall. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband David B. Ross in 1994, a son Roger Ross, a daughter-in-law Linda Ross, a great grandchild Isaac Boyle, and two sisters Winfred Pontius and Florence Painter. Visitation will be on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. A funeral service will be held from the funeral home on Saturday at 1:00 PM with the Rev. Carl White officiating. Burial will take place in the Marion Center Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Miriam H. Ross Business Award (Marion Center High School) in care of Marion Center National Bank,
