Obituary

Mildred R. McFarland, 88, of Indiana, passed away surrounded by her family Friday, December 20, 2013 at Indiana Regional Medical Center. She was born in 1925 to Alfred N. and Mary (Robertson) Fetterman in Indiana. She attended the Indiana Wesleyan Methodist Church where she was a member of the Sunday School Class. She was a custodian at IUP for 21 years before her retirement in 1987. Mildred was an avid knitter for family and friends. She is survived by three sons, David McFarland and wife Cornelia, Clymer; James E. McFarland and wife Peggy, Mammoth; Gordon "Keith" McFarland and wife Alison, Indiana; Five grandchildren, Trudy Lex, Christine Baughman, Jody Grabowski, Dave McFarland and Leah Ermlick, ten great grandchildren, two brothers, Richard N. Fetterman, MI; Robert E. Fetterman, Indiana; Velma Jean Lydic, Erie, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, James, Alfred "Bud", Harry "Bill" Fetterman, a sister Kathryn Louise Hastie Funeral services are private. A memorial celebration will be held at a later date. The Bowser-Minich Funeral Home of Indiana has been entrusted with the arrangements.
