Mary Gaynelle George White, 90, of Indiana, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, December 10, 2023. She was born and raised on the family farm in Armstrong Township, on May 7, 1933, to the late Harry Lawrence and Edith (Long) George.

She married her late husband Ronald in 1960. They spent their first few years in Arkansas where he was stationed in the strategic air command branch of the United States Air Force.

Mary graduated from Indiana High School, class of 1950. She started her career soon after as a service representative for the Bell Telephone Company, retiring in 1982. Mary was a member of the Shelocta Community Presbyterian Church. Her love of sewing was instilled at an early age while attending the Crete 4H Club.

She is survived by sisters-in-law Doris Thompson and Linda Wolfe as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her husband Ronald in 1997, sisters Louise Hollenbach and Edna Mae Graham, brother William George, brothers-in-law Harold Hollenbach, Glenn Graham, Kenneth White, Donald Thompson, and Earle Wolfe, sister-in-law Dorothy George, and in-laws Howard and Florence White.

Friends will be received by the family on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, from 11 AM to 1:00 PM, at the Bowser Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, with a service immediately following at 1:00 PM with nephew, Dan George officiating. Burial will take place in Oakland Cemetery, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in honor of Mary may be sent to the Shelocta Community Presbyterian Church, 182 S Ridge Rd, Shelocta, PA 15774.
