Obituary

Mary A. Rhea, 97, of Indiana, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Beacon Ridge. She was born in 1916 to John and Bertha (Kristofic) Bytner in Sagamore. Mary was a member of Harmony United Presbyterian Church in Penn Run. She formerly worked at Penns Manor Schools in various jobs. Mary enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and watching her chickens (which she referred to as her girls). She is survived by four sons and four daughters, Martha "Marcy" Schewe and husband Jim, MN; Sonny Rhea and wife Donna, Indiana; Wayne "Shorty" Rhea and wife Bernadine, Clymer; Joanne Long and husband Blair, Clymer; George Rhea and wife Karen, NC; Veronica Graham and husband Tom, Indiana; Bob Rhea and wife Kim, Clymer; Bertha Cecconi and husband Ken "Cal", Homer City; 19 grandchildren and a wealth of great and great great grandchildren; two brothers, Tony Bytnar, OH; Henry Bytner, OH; two sisters, Veronica Zaczyk, OH; Stella Fairman, Creekside. She was preceded in death by her husband, H. Alex Rhea, four grandchildren, Alex Rhea, Bobbi Jo Rhea, Mary Jo Rhea, Allen Rhea, a great great grandson, Brodi Martinez, five brothers, Joe, Frank, Mike, Steve, John, and a sister, Julia Learn Visitation will be on Thursday, June 5 from 3 to 7 PM and Friday, June 6 from 9 to 10 AM at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where a funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Harmony United Presbyterian Church, PO Box 495, Penn Run PA 15765.
