Obituary

Mary Jane Clark, age 91, of Indiana, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2013 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center. She was born in 1922 in Bell Twp., Jefferson Co. to Charles and Agnes Woodhead Gibbon. Mrs. Clark was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Indiana, an active Girl Scout Leader for 13 years, the Pinees Camping Club, and the Junior Women's Civic Club. During World War II, she built B-52 Bombers in Ohio, and worked for Sylvania Electric in Lock Haven. She also worked in the cafeteria for the Indiana School District at Eisenhower and Ben Franklin Elementary Schools. She retired form the Pantry at the Indiana Regional Medical Center. Mary Jane was the heart and center of her family. She is survived by two sons and three daughters, Sandra Clark Hieber and husband James, Williamsburg, VA; Leslie Clark, Alexandria, VA; Charles W. and wife Anna Marie, Indiana; Karen Rager and husband Robert, Homer City; Mark, Indiana; eseven grandchildren, and five great grandchildren; one sister, Sally Poor, Alexandria, VA; one sister-in-law, Jean Gibbon, Sanborn, NY., AND numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded by her parents, by her husband Lester W. Clark in 2012, by four brothers, Thomas, Charles, Amandus, David Gibbon, and by two sisters, Agnes Isaacson and Marion Bresnock Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2 to 4 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where a memorial service will begin at 3:30 P.M. with the Rev. Julie Walz officiating. A private burial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Zion Lutheran Church, 100 S. 6th St, Indiana, PA 15701.
