Marion L. Casaday's Obituary

Marion "Pat" L. Casaday, age 87, of Indiana, passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Communities of Indian Haven. She was born in 1928 in Bellwood to Reuben and Bertha Snauffer Hostler. Mrs. Casaday was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Indiana; and a life-long member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Post #1989. Marion was first employed by the William Penn Council for the Boy Scouts of America, and was later employed as a legal secretary for Pearce and Douglas Attorneys for many years, and as medical secretary for many years as well. She loved to play Bridge and create ceramics. Pat is survived by two sons - Floyd M. Casaday, MD, and his wife Jean, Indiana; Dennis S. Casaday and wife Maria, Severna Park, MD; three grandchildren - Rebecca J. Potts and husband Jerry, Reisterstown, MD; Jeffrey M. Casaday, San Diego, CA; Elizabeth L. Casaday, Indiana; three step-grandchildren - Kristine Potts, Reading; Jamie L. Hurst, Severna, Park, MD; Joshua R. Vaughnes, Severna Park, MD; one great-grandson - Jack M. Casaday, Atlanta, GA; three step-great grandchildren - Addison R. Hurst, Arnold, MD; Dominick and Jacob Vaughnes, Servena Park, MD; one sister - Shirely Dotzauer and husband Hubert, Newport News, VA; one brother, Stanley Hostler and wife Virginia, Charleston, WV. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Floyd M. Casaday, Jr., and numerous brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be private and have been entrusted to the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. Interment will be made in the Blair Memorial Cemetery, Bellwood. Memorial contributions may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church, S. 6th St., Indiana, PA 15701, or a charity of the donor's choice.
