Margaret M. Sakash's Obituary

Margaret M. (Fairman) Sakash, age 99, went to be with her Lord on May 15, 2015 in Indiana. She was born in 1916 in Frostburg to Michael and Mary (Soltis) Fairman . Margaret was a member of St Jude Thaddeus Byzantine Catholic Church, Ernest. She enjoyed gardening, baking and spending time with her family. Mrs. Sakash showed great strength and courage throughout her life and will be fondly remembered and missed by all who knew her. Surviving are her children - Peggy J. Jones and her husband Floy "Chappy" of Ocean Isle Beach, NC; Michael R. Sakash and his wife Sharon of Raleigh, N.C.; three grandchildren - Alison Baklarz and her husband Eric of Greensboro, NC; Michael Sakash and his wife Tatevik of Tamaqua; and Mark Sakash of Wheeling, WV; two great grandchildren - Ashley and Nicholas Baklarz; one sister and two brothers, Helen Fairman, Stephen Fairman and his wife Anna Jane, and Walter Fairman all of Punxsutawney. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband Mike Sakash who died February 1, 2003. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. A Funeral Liturgy will be held on Tuesday at 11 A.M. at St Jude Thaddeus Byzantine Catholic Church, Ernest, with the Rev. Fr. William Lascelles the celebrant. Interment will follow in St Mary's Cemetery, Sagamore. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Thaddeus Byzantine Catholic Church, 320 Main St., Ernest, PA 15739.
