Lowis W. Lucas' Obituary

Obituary for Lois W. Lucas Lois W. Lucas, 86, of Indiana, passed away Friday April 1, 2011 at St. Andrews Village, Indiana. She was born in 1925 to George and Ruth Hanna (Brown) Wolfe in Williamsport. Lois was a member of Church of the Saviour, Wayne, and attended Trinity United Methodist Church, Indiana. She graduated from Penn State University in 1948 where she was the Valedictorian of her graduating class. She was a homemaker and also was a teacher of Home Economics. She and her husband resided in Berwyn for 45 years before moving to Indiana in 2001. Lois enjoyed crafts, needlework, gardening and was a fabulous cook. She is survived by her husband Albert C. Lucas Jr whom she married July 3, 1948, two daughers and a son, Wayne S. Lucas and wife Patty, Philadelphia; Mila L. Simpson and husband Bill, Indiana; Gail L. Rohland and husband Ray, Winfield; seven grandchildren, David Simpson, Amanda Rohland, Lauren Lucas, Matthew Rohland, Daniel Simpson, Rebekah Rohland, Elizabeth Rohland and a great granddaughter; a brother George Carbon Wolfe and wife Marjorie, Coral Springs FL; and two nieces Cynthia and Kathryn. She was preceded in death by her parents. Friends will be received from 1:00 PM until time of services at 2:00 PM Sunday at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana with Rev. Gregory Golden officiating. Graveside Services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday at the Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, King of Prussia.
