Lorenna Baker's Obituary

Lorenna Baker,  age 100,  died Friday March 13, 2020 in Macomb Township, Michigan.  Lorenna was born July 6, 1919 in Sagamore, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Frederick Lorenzo and the late Ellen (nee: Stuthers) Lorenzo.

Lorenna was raised in Pennsylvania where she also graduated High School.  She would later marry a young coal miner by the name of John Baker and begin her family.  She and John forged their early years raising their children and staying active within their Catholic Church.

Lorenna and John decided they wanted to move to Michigan in 1967 for a better work and life environment.  John found employment within General Motors and the family settled into their new home in Roseville, Michigan.  Lorenna continued on as the consummate "homemaker" and John worked every day offered to him.  The family attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in the heart of Roseville.

Lorenna was a kind and generous soul who not only cared for her children, but would help many others.  She cherished her family and grandchildren and could bake wonderful nut butter balls and butterscotch squares.  She will be forever remembered as a loving mother and cherished grandmother who was devoted to her Catholic faith.

Lorenna was the beloved wife of the late John Baker, and the dear mother of Bernadette (Charles) Fullmer, Colleen McCormick, Celine (Scott) Kleinhans, and the late John Baker. She was the cherished grandmother of Julie Baker (Pete), Kathleen Schaaf, Christine Baker, Angela (Ben) Baker-Demers, Gary Rushton (Patrick), Michael Rushton, Brent Fullmer (Cheryl), Timothy (Rakhi) McCormick, Matthew McCormick (Matthew), Melissa (Robert) Klinger, John Kleinhans (Alicia), and the late Dennis Fullmer.  Mrs. Baker is further survived by her daughter in-law Anita Baker and was predeceased by all of her siblings.

Visitation for Mrs. Baker will be held on Sunday from 2-8pm, with a 7pm Scripture Service at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Road) in Warren.

A second visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 17 th , at 11am until noon at the Bowser Minich Funeral Home in Indiana, PA.  Interment will follow at Greenwood Memorial Park Cemetery in Lower Burrell, Pennsylvania.
