Lola 'L.J.' Taylor's Obituary

Lola Jean "L.J." (MacAllister) Taylor, 87 of Indiana, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2020, at Bethany Place.

She was born in 1933 to the late Rev. H.F. and Edna (Henderson) MacAllister in Fredericksburg, Ohio.

L.J. was a member for over 50 years at Graystone Presbyterian serving as hostess and as a nursery attendant.  She then became a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church, Indiana.

After graduation from Muskingum College, Ohio, she taught at Ben Franklin Elementary School before starting her family.

Lola Jean enjoyed making crafts with the Two Lick Homemakers, sewing and baking.  L.J's greatest joys were camping with her grandchildren at Westminster Highlands Church Camp, making apple butter with her family and the bible study group.

She is survived by the following children – Kim Taylor, Gibsonia; Kevin (Sheryl) Taylor of Lithia, FL;  Robyn (David)  Prosser of Emlenton, Pa;  Shawn (Laura) Taylor of Charlotte NC; grandchildren – Christopher Prosser, Katy (Brian) Best, Jeremy Taylor and Blair Taylor and one sister Mae Jane (Dave) Dunn of Fl.   Lola Jean will be greatly missed by all her In-Laws as well as her nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, L.J. is preceded in death by her husband Blair E. Taylor in 1989.

Friends will be received on Thursday, March 12, 2020, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from  6 to 8 p.m. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana.   A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 13, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, co-officiated with  Reverend David Hanna and Reverend Dr. Richard Cassel.  Interment will be in the Oakland Cemetery, Indiana.
